Asbestos Roof Encapsulation
The hexagonal asbestos-cement roof in Titirangi had weathered significantly over time, leaving the substrate vulnerable to further deterioration.
Rather than undertaking costly asbestos removal and a full roof replacement, TECTUM completed a full encapsulation using the Rust-Oleum Noxyde® system.
Following careful low-impact cleaning and preparation, a multi-layer elastomeric waterproofing membrane was applied across the roof surface, encapsulating the asbestos and creating a seamless protective barrier against moisture ingress, UV exposure, and ongoing weathering.
The completed system has extended the life of the roof while providing a safe, cost-effective long-term protection solution for the property.
